Fire and Ice - Escaping Climate Change
Fire and Ice - Escaping Climate Change is inspired by my deep concern for the effects on our planet of climate change. The fiery sky evokes the wildfires, and the blue ice represents the melting glacier I used a large palette knife to create the motion of the waves and the sea creature. The creature emerged as I was swiping the knife across the canvas, I did not consciously create it! The melting glacier on the left is crashing down into the ocean, affecting all sea life. Is there really an escape?
