Friends or Foe
I’m inspired by the tenacity and resilience of all ocean going creatures but the sea turtles are the most vulnerable that appeal to me. Well meaning divers or just tourist groups have created loss of habitat as well as disturbing hatching beaches. Fortunately the long ago practice of using the shells for decoration or incorporating them into objects has been regulated in most areas, but illegal poaching is still an on going cause for concern. My little guy is leery of the shadows lurking in the ocean above his quiet refuge.
