Trinidad
"The Approach" showcases the sheer power and beauty behind oncoming shorebreak. This large wave was part of a gorgeous mid morning set that I captured on camera in South Carlsbad. The ocean didn't even have time to collect itself before the next powerful wave came crashing in adding to the already churning foam left behind by the previous wave. The scene is both beautiful and a little chaotic. This relentless and sometimes messy approach of the ocean's waves to shore has always served as a source of wonderful creative inspiration for me.

As a San Diego native, avid hiker and backpacker, she is constantly inspired by the wide array of environments unique to California and beyond .
